Cruise Ship passengers left shocked with ruined holidays, as Ship rerouted

The passengers of the Cruise ship The MSC Meraviglia, destined for the Bahamas, were left stunned as their ship was rerouted to Boston, Maine and Canada, citing bad weather conditions. The people who wanted to travel for the beach vacations with families were shocked when they were told that they were being rerouted to somewhere else. Moreover, the changes were made at the last minute and the itinerary was changed for the passengers with no option but to agree to the offer.

They were given a choice to travel to another destination or cancel their tour for a future tour credit. The passengers who were already prepared for vacations had no option left but to avail the choice of traveling to some other tour destination. As per the representative of the cruise ship “The only alternative would have been to take the more extreme step of canceling the cruise—and thousands of people’s vacations—outright. As per the management of the cruise ship, the passengers were informed of the change in the itinerary at the last moment due to “unseasonable and rapidly worsening weather”.

Some of the shocked thought they were being punked but soon got to know of the changed plans to their shock. MSC Cruises management said the weather would have made it “impossible to safely reach the southern Atlantic Ocean from New York City.

The said ship has a capacity of 5000 guests and 1500 support staff. However, it was not known as to how many passengers agreed to board the changed route.
