Taylor Swift Ditches Grammys for Billion-Dollar Tour
As per reports, the famous singer Taylor Swift will not perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards. However, she is expected to be present at the prestigious music event to be held on Sunday. The reason given for her not performing in the show is due to her tour to Japan, which is part of her forthcoming leg of the Eras Tour. Taylor Swift is scheduled to do four straight night shows, and then she leaves for Australia.
Her busy schedule consists of four back-to-back shows at the Tokyo Dome from February 7th to 10th, which will be continued to Australia, Asia and Europe as part of her Eras Tour. Taylor Swift’s schedule will end with her concluding performances in the United States and Canada, which will keep her busy throughout the summer.

Despite her absence from the Grammy stage, Swift is nominated in six categories for her hit “Anti-Hero,” including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Additionally, her collaboration with Ice Spice on “Karma” earned a nod for best pop duo/group performance, and her album “Midnights” is up for best pop vocal album and album of the year.
Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend and a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, confirmed on The Pat McAfee Show that he won’t be able to join Swift at the Grammys. Expressing his support, Kelce mentioned his conflicting schedule due to the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, where his team is set to play.
Kelce expressed regret at not being able to witness Swift’s potential victories at the Grammys, citing Sunday practice commitments. While uncertain about the team’s schedule for Saturday and Sunday, Kelce emphasized his focus on the Super Bowl, making attending the awards show unfeasible.
Swift’s Eras Tour has been a monumental success since its launch in March 2023, amassing over a billion dollars in revenue and earning the title of the most lucrative concert tour of all time, according to Pollstar. Reflecting on the tour’s challenges, Swift shared her rigorous preparation, including six months of training and daily treadmill rehearsals to ensure a flawlessly entertaining 3-plus-hour-long concert featuring tracks from her extensive discography.
