‘Washington Commanders’ Shines Without Jayden Daniels After Rib Injury in Big Win
The condition of Quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is representing the Washington Commanders, is uncertain due to his rib injury. The mishap has forced him to leave Sunday’s game Vs Carolina Panthers in the first quarter. Despite his absence, the team demonstrated they could still maintain offensive effectiveness.
The ruling out of Daneils was the result of the injury that happened to him during the opening possession of Washington Commanders. Luckily, there was an ideal replacement in Marcus Mariota who stepped in on time. He managed to complete 18 of 23 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns. The result of this was that his team managed to hit six scoring drives in their 40-7 victory.
The intensity of the injury, according to the coach Dan Quinn, couldn’t be ascertained. Further tests remained to be done to assess the severity. Quinn added, “I’ll give you some updates just as soon as I find out tomorrow, but I do not have any tonight”.
Daniel’s mother satisfied with his progress
Posting on social media, Daneil’s mother seemed to be satisfied with the progress of her son and said “he’s fine’. Also, ESPN was told by the sources that the sportsperson appeared to be doing fine according to the X-Ray report. Seen on the sidelines, he appeared to be quite fine, talking to his teammates. He also embraced Carolina quarterback Bryce Young and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris after the game.
“It’s going to take some time, whatever it is,” Mariota said about Daniels’ injury. “We have no idea, but he was in good spirits… We’ll take it day to day.”
If health allows, Daniels might play on behalf of Washinton Commanders (5-2) against Chicago (4-2). On Sunday, a match is due between Caleb Williams and Daniels coming under the top two quarterbacks assigned this year. Receiver Terry Mc Laurin said, “You know he’s a tough player”. “He’ll do whatever it takes to get ready for next week.”

It remains unclear exactly when Daniels got injured, but it likely occurred at the end of a 46-yard run on Washington Commanders’ first play. As Daniels turned to try and stiff-arm Panthers safety Lonnie Johnson Jr., linebacker Marquis Haynes tackled him from behind. Following the next play, a handoff to Austin Ekeler, Daniels appeared to clutch his left side while faking a run. Taking him to the medical tent, the trainers examined him and this happened after he carried the ball two more times.
Washington Commanders position held high by another stalwart
Leaving the field after the injury, Daniels tried to warm up before the Washington Commanders’ next offensive drive. The rest of the game was then handled by Mariota after the sportsperson left, throwing his helmet on the ground. Less than half of the remaining game was missed by Daneils as he walked towards the locker room.
Daniels had been representing the the Washington Commanders’ offense before the injury, the latter, ranking second in the league score. Two interceptions, six touchdowns, and 1,404 yards saw Daniels almost completing 75.3% of his passes apart from four touchdowns and 322 yards.
Zach Ertz said “He’s the leader of our team, and he’s an amazing player with a bright future ahead, “Our first concern is his health, but we also have a lot of faith in Marcus to step up and keep the offense going.”
Missing the first four games of the season, Mariota quickly rebounded for Commanders, after he faced a pectoral strain. Just before halftime, He quickly led a 92-yard touchdown drive after missing his first three phases apart from struggling in the beginning. He would only throw two more incomplete passes for the rest of the game.
“I wasn’t surprised that he performed well,” Quinn said of Mariota. “I see the extra things that he does. It was good to see that confidence back in him and to see the joy on the sideline for him because everybody feels his support — not just Jayden, everybody does. He’s got that kind of impact about him. He’s been through it. He’s a really excellent teammate and the guys feel that.”
