Actor John Schneider Sparks Outrage with Call for Public Execution of President Biden and Son Hunter

Actor John Schneider, famous for his portrayal of Bo Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” has ignited controversy by suggesting that both President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden should face public execution. Schneider, recently seen as the Donut on “The Masked Singer,” made this bold statement in response to a post by President Biden addressing concerns about the impact of former President Trump on democracy, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s global standing.

In his response on X, John Schneider stated, “Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hanged. Your son too”. But before the comment was deleted by the actor, it already had gathered significant attention from people, thereby generating thousands of responses.

President Biden’s original post mentioned the various threats posed by Trump, the former President, which prompted Schneider’s extreme reaction. Users on X engaged in discussions, with investigative journalist Victoria Brownworth, correcting the term “hung” to “hanged” and disputing the claim of treason. She urged Schneider to consider perspectives beyond the confines of the Fox News bubble.

Another user, @Out5p0ken, expressed astonishment at Schneider’s call for the execution of a sitting president and suggested that the Secret Service might respond. Opinions on John Schneider’s comment were diverse, with some users speculating about a potential Secret Service visit and others arguing that it did not constitute a death threat.

It’s crucial to recognize that threats against a president violate federal law. According to Code 18, section 871, making threats to the life, kidnapping, or bodily harm of the President of the United States through mail or other means can result in fines, imprisonment for up to five years, or both.

John Schneider, also known for his roles as Jonathan Kent in “Smallville” and James Cryer in “The Haves and the Have Nots,” has found himself in the midst of controversy due to his outspoken and inflammatory remarks.
